Orientation Program for Spring 2016 Students

 

The orientation program of Spring 2016 students of University of Asia Pacific was held on Saturday, May 07, 2016 at UAP permanent campus at Green Road, Dhaka.

Prof. Jamilur Reza Choudhury, Vice Chancellor, UAP was the Chief Guest and welcomed the new students. He termed the students as the 'future leaders' of Bangladesh who are expected to bring positive changes to the society and the nation. He advised the students to make the best use of their time and along with their academic activities, participate in various co-curricular activities that UAP offers.

The Vice Chancellor was followed by Mr. Qayum Reza Chowdhury, Chairman, Board of Trustees (BOT), Mr. C. M. Shafi Sami and Engr. M. Abu Taher, members, BOT. All of them welcomed the students to the new impressive University building and reminded of the years of hard-work put by the BOT members of the faculty and staff to make the "dream come true". They recalled the pioneering role that the founder Vice Chancellor of the University Late Mr. Hedayet Ahmed played in laying the foundation the UAP in 1996.

Prof. M. R. Kabir, Pro VC, UAP then took the floor and reminded the students of their duties and responsibilities. He was followed by Mr. Sarwar R Chowdhury, Registrar, UAP and Mr. Shamsad Ahmed, Assistant Proctor, UAP.

The session was concluded with a round of applause for the newly admitted students and their guardians.
